My borther wants to transfer to Bellevue University. I will appreciate if anyone from that university could tell about tuition and living expenses, also the possibilty of getting work off campus.

thank you in advance.

well , the university is cheap. about working offcampus you can work at lot of places like call center , gas station , resturants etc ..but the thing is u need to use social for this. You get very less jobs where they pay u in cash. The place is nice . Omaha is not a big city but not that bad either. your brother can either stay in omaha or bellevue. Appartments are cheap around $550 for 2 bed which 4-5 people can share.

It was cheap couple years before but not anymore. You got to pay $400 per semester for health insurance, and the tuition fee is $250 per credit for computer and $220 for other. So, if you take two computer classes or a major class, and two electives or gened class, you got to pay around $3500 per semester. You will find better university than Bellevue for 3500.

The cost of apartment for double bed is like $650, excluding utilities. You got to have work permit to work in Omaha metro area, and there is no way of finding job in Bellevue. I don't suggest anybody to come to Bellevue.

I am also planning to trasfer to a university this fall but cant make up my mind. I heard bellevue is good so i m taking it as an option. MN,WI are some other options. Ur brother might wanna check those too.

would be best for ya if ya guys decide not to transfer to Bellevue University.... From fall, the Bellevue University would be changing their course structure from Semester to Quarter system... However, their cost per credit will still remain the same (between $200- $ 290 per credit depending on the type of course)... Therefore, you would be required to study 3*9 = 27 credits per year ... plus will be obligated to pay your college fees (abt $60-$90 per quater), a mandatory health insurance (not exactly sure how much, but I'm guessing $450-$550 per year) and other ridiculous fees, which makes it expensive than you have assumed.... Most importantly, you will not get a job on campus !!!!!!! You are grown enough to make your own decision... do your calculation and decide whatever is best for you ... I just provided you with the basis foundation information .... Wish you all the best in what ever you decide to do..
