Yes it's possible. You better talk with your Academic advisor and also with the career center at your university. You might have to register for some credits for the internship(CPT).

yes you can do it. i am doing the same right now. you have to register for a credit as we are international student. if it is unpaid... you don't have to do anything.. just work. if its paid, then you have talk with your international student advisor, take your i-20 with you. they will send you to the deparment and get signed some papers.
