Its a positive message. Political parties must not reject the dialogue offer.

. for any dialog or compromise, there has to be a give and take. from the new year speech, it does not seem like the king is giving anything - the protests, the maobaadi, nothing has affected HIS roadmap. he says it is HIS wish that there be elections (although he uses OUR, he means HIS - he is just treating himself as a royal). HIS address presuppoes he has the mandate to what he deems right - but it ain't so. he does not have a mandate, unless he is talking about a divine one. so, for the message to have been positive, there had to be at least some acknowledgement of the protests and the maobaadi. there should have been some reconciliatory (genuine or otherwise) gesture - some indication that he is willing to yield a little to gain a little. but there's nothing of that sort. मेरो गोरुको बाह्रै टक्का !
